In 2011, André Rabanéa and five other partners launched Billy The Group, a group of 10 companies in the fields of creativity, communication, and sports (there was even a vegan restaurant involved). Over 500 employees and more than 20 partners have passed through the group, and companies were established in more than 10 countries outside Portugal.
He was a pioneer in founding the first guerrilla marketing agency in Portugal, Torke, as well as the first social media agency, Torke 2.0. He founded Stuntsoccer, specializing in football player management; Mustard, a brand activation agency; and Couture, the first innovation and ethnographic research agency in Portugal, which later merged with Beta-i Collaborative Innovation, now one of the key players in entrepreneurship in Portugal.
After more than 10 years of creating and investing in new companies, selling, merging, and expanding into other markets, André Rabanéa, CEO of the group, decided to change Billy’s direction. It shifted from being a holding company with stakes in various businesses to becoming a collective of companies making a difference in the markets they operate in.
Today, Billy The Group returns to the market with a fresh face, featuring four main companies: Torke, Ideators, Wee Digital, and Zooma. Billy’s goal is to expand its network of companies and people who can collaborate creatively and in business.
